GOOD GIRL, BAD BLOOD by Holly Jackson

Pippa Fitz-Amobi is on the case again in this fantastic sequel! ‘Good girl, bad blood’ begins soon after the events in the previous book. These events are creatively recapped using the various media elements I now associate with this series. Much to my delight, new media elements like the AGGGTM podcast and online articles are even introduced in this book.

SIX CRIMSON CRANES by Elizabeth Lim

Despite the hype that surrounds it, ‘Six Crimson Cranes’ was not high on my list of books to read. The mediocre blurb failed to entice me with its offer of a light-hearted and fluffy, Young Adult (YA) read. It was not until I came across its beautiful cover at the bookstore that I was drawn to this book.
It was love at first sight! The elegant font, simple illustration and soft, pastel colours grabbing my attention and demanding that I read this book.

SERPENT & DOVE by Shelby Mahurin

‘Serpent & Dove’ captured my interest right from the start! There is no gradual introduction to the characters and world as the book quickly launches into some action. While this could be disorienting for some readers, I was fully enthralled by the amazing writing and fast pace within a few pages. Additionally, I swiftly became infatuated with the awesome character that is Louise le Blanc.
