November 2022 Monthly Spotlight

As the rain falls on the red carpet of leaves outside, it has become even more vital to find a riveting book to sink one’s teeth into. Thankfully, there are lots of delightful new releases coming out this month to keep those dreaded reading slumps at bay. To get you started, here are a few releases that caught my attention:

Just JJ’s top pick:

Bloodmarked

Title: Bloodmarked

Author: Tracy Deonn

Genre: Fantasy, Young Adult

First impressions: With how things ended in the previous book, I can not wait to get my hands on this sequel!

Desperate to unearth the truth about her mother’s death, Bree successfully infiltrated an ancient, secret society. While she may have gotten her answers, she also tapped into an unpredictable, ancestral power that puts her at the forefront of a war against demons. To make things worse, the boy Bree fell in love with has been kidnapped, and her attraction to the mage sworn to protect him is only getting stronger. If she is to save herself and the people she loves, Bree must learn to control her powers – ideally without losing herself in the process.

Honourable mentions:

  • The Light We Carry: Overcoming in Uncertain Times by Michelle Obama (Memoir)
  • Before I Let Go by Kennedy Ryan (Romance)
  • Children of Ragnarok by Cinda Williams Chima (Fantasy)
  • Two Wrongs Make a Right by Chloe Liese (Romance)

Feel free to let us know in the comments below if you are excited about any of the books mentioned above or any other books coming out this month.
