Our top pick:

Good Rich People

First impressions: Did someone say a real-life version of ‘The Hunger Games’?!

Wealthy couple Lyla and Graham see life as a game – a dangerous game with odds in their favour. In this game, they invite self-made success stories to live in their guesthouse and then ruin their lives. This carries on until they meet Demi. Demi has been struggling all her life and now ends up at their home. Demi is not about to go down without a fight. What happens next is chaos and an explosive conclusion which may or may not leave a few bodies behind.

Daughter of the Moon Goddess

Title: Daughter of the Moon Goddess

Genre: Fantasy, Young Adult

First impression: Don’t judge me. Of course I am picking this book because of its pretty cover!

The Maid

Title: The Maid

Author: Nita Prose

Genre: Mystery, Thriller

First impression: Adulting is hard enough without having to figure it out all on your own  😩

Twenty-five-year-old Molly Gray is trying to navigate adulthood, but her struggles with social cues makes things harder than they should be. When the death of her nan, her interpreter of the world, leaves her struggling all alone, Molly throws herself into her work as a hotel maid.

All is well – until she stumbles into the room of rich and infamous, Mr Charles Black. Surprisingly, it is in a state of chaos;  but Molly had not expected to find Mr Black dead on his bed. The police soon have her pegged as their lead suspect due to her unusual behaviour. Luckily, friends she never expected rally around her to hunt for clues and figure out what really happened to Mr Black. Will the truth be discovered? Or will it be too late to save Molly?
