‘Tis the season to read, read and read some more. Merry Bookmas! Why not check out our wish list of books coming out this season that make us very excited:

Author: Christina S. Wilcox

Genre: Non-fiction; Self-Help

Our thoughts: As babes entering the world of adulthood, we are constantly seeking to understand our personality types and can’t wait to see the tips Christina offers for better self-care!

Knowing yourself is one thing, but it is so much harder to understand the best ways to look after yourself based on your unique Enneagram personality. In this book, Enneagram expert Christina Wilcox aims to use her knowledge of the Enneagram personality types to help readers elevate both their mental and emotional well-being. What better way to kickstart the new year, than to practice some much needed personalised self-care!

Author: A.R. Torre

Genre: Thriller; Mystery

Our thoughts: We still can’t get over the first part of the blurb: ‘Welcome to the neighbourhood. Watch your husband, watch your friends and watch your back.’

Cat Winthorpe seems to have it all – a gorgeous home, good social standing and a successful, handsome husband. When Neena Ryder and her husband move in next door, Neena begins to fixate on Cat’s husband, William. Over time, both women form a friendship that is embellished in a wealth of temptations, secrets, and toxic jealousy. You better bring some armour as things are about to get dangerous!

Author: Sean Gibson

Genre: Fantasy; Humour

Our thoughts: What if everything we knew about legendary heroes was all a lie?

Pretty sure we have all heard some kind of story about courageous souls successfully facing down a dragon. What if these heroes are not as legendary as we think, but instead, merely clueless amateurs guided by luck. After all, adventuring is not easy and true heroism is terribly rare.

Author: Marie Benedict

Genre: Historical; Mystery

Our thoughts: Agatha Christie is one of our favourite authors everrrrr; so of course this book had to make the list!

The year is 1926 and Agatha Christie has disappeared! Eleven days later, she returns claiming amnesia and offering no explanation for her time away. Mixing real life with fiction, Marie Benedict depicts an intriguing outlook on what could have caused Agatha Christie’s sudden disappearance. What is real and what is mystery?

Author: Alwyn Hamilton

Genre: Fantasy; Young Adult

Our thoughts: Think hunger games but the contestants are the younger generation of the same family…

Sixteen year old Honora “Nora” Holtzfall is no stranger to privilege as the daughter of the most powerful heiress in all of Walstad. When her mother is found dead in an alley, Nora must compete against her cousins and family she did not know she had to prove that she is worthy of inheriting the family throne and fortune. May the odds be ever in your favour.

Author: T.A. Willberg

Genre: Historical Fiction; Mystery

Our thoughts: How do you catch an invisible killer?? Our interests are piqued!

Set post WWII, ‘Miss Brickett’s Investigations and Inquiries’ solve crimes that have been deemed unsolvable by Scotland Yard. When the company’s filing assistant Michelle White is killed by an invisible killer, private investigator-in-training Marion Lane reluctantly agrees to look into the murder. Will she be able to overcome the hidden alliances and secrets at Miss Brickett’s to earn her P.I wings?
