GOOD BAD GIRL by Alice Feeney
I completely adored the rich, quotable prose and chapter-ending cliffhangers used in this book. Although I struggled slightly with the constantly shifting points of view (POVs), these are clearly marked and cleverly used to increase the scope and complexity of the story.

ZERO DAYS by Ruth Ware
It did not take long for the casual writing style and vivid descriptions to pull me in and bring this story to life. Further enriching the narrative is the emotive language used to convey the complex emotions of the main character, Jack, but this eventually becomes repetitive and tedious.

HOW TO KILL MEN AND GET AWAY WITH IT by Katy Brent
The casual, conversational writing style is paired with a satirical narrative that is both uncomfortable and entertaining in its use of dark humour and commentary on social issues. Vivid (sometimes gruesome) details and smooth transitions between current and past events also enhance the story and keep it engaging.
