Our thoughts: Just curious to see how people respond to a Craigslist ad – expecting some juicy secrets!
Helena Dea Bala is a lonely student who posts an ad on Craigslist promising to listen to people anonymously and without judgement. The result was immense and in this book she spills the confessions of 40 individuals. Expecting this to cover a wide range of topics and elicit a variety of emotions.
Title: He Started It
Author: Samantha Downing
Genre: Thriller; Mystery
Our thoughts: Sing it with us – ‘I ain’t sayin’ she a gold-digger…’
With the promise of an inheritance Beth, Portia, and Eddie Morgan must come together to fulfil their grandfather’s final wish. It hard enough dealing with family you haven’t seen for a long time; add a body, secrets and stalking – this is a recipe for drama.
Title: Cinderella is dead

Our thoughts: Strong female characters defying tradition and the patriarchy – hell yes!
In this spin on the age-old Cinderella fairy tale, 16-year old Sophia runs away from a ball designed to marry her off. The ensuing adventure leads to her attempting to dismantle the monarchy that oppresses her – how could we say no this? Extra points for the melanated character on the book cover.
Title: His & Hers

Our thoughts: A TV presenter and a detective walk into a bar… read the book.
BBC news presenter Anna Andrews and detective Jack Harper find themselves entangled in a countryside murder. There are two sides to this story – His & Hers – but who is telling the truth? Can’t wait to find out!
Title: Unravel the Dusk

Our thoughts: Book two in the Blood of Stars series! Can’t wait to see how the author tops the first book.
After doing the impossible Maia Tamarin returns to a kingdom on the brink of war. But as she loses control of her body and mind, Maia must do the impossible once again to protect her family and bring peace to her country. Let’s not forget the ‘sizzling forbidden romance’ promised in the blurb.
