How pretty is this cover?! The gentle, pastel colours work wonderfully with the simple illustration to create a striking design. I also love that we have Charlie and Radar in the design, even though all we get is their outline.

ACE OF SHADES by Amanda Foody
Within a few pages, Amanda Foody had me eating out the palm of her hand as she did a phenomenal job establishing the tone and world of the story. Through her picturesque writing, the creative and complex world soon became my favourite part of this story. While the intricate details regarding the powers and family names were slightly confusing, even this could not lessen the appeal of the world Amanda creates.

CROOKED KINGDOM by Leigh Bardugo
I love that this cover shares such a strong connection with the one for the previous book. While this design is not as stunning as the former, I once again found the buildings concealed within the crow’s feathers visually appealing.
